Sean is a full time decoy maker and started carving because of his love for woodworking and waterfowl hunting.  He is self taught and finds inspiration in all styles of decoys, whether new or old.  Sean's carving style is constantly evolving and he works exclusively with numerous new and old hand tools.  White cedar is the wood of choice and he only uses oil paints to complete the decoy.  Sean's decoys are all made for gunning, although only a few ever see active duty in the marsh, fooling waterfowl.  Sean is proud that his decoys can be found in collections, exhibits and on fireplace mantels all across North America and over seas.

Sean is often featured in Rod Taylor's "Fresh from the Bench" articles in the Hunting & Fishing Collectibles Magazine and he is also one of the sixty carvers in Loy S. Harrell, Jr.'s new book, Sixty Living and Outstanding North American Carvers.
